The Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has said the challenges thrown up by COVID-19, has given Nigeria the opportunity to reset its critical sectors of economy.
The vice president stated this while speaking during a virtual media conference, on thursday.
During the conference, Global Citizen announced a collaboration with the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA) to establish the Nigeria Solidarity Support Fund.
The COVID-19 challenge is an exceptional opportunity for us as a nation and and as a people to readjust the critical sectors of the economy.
The disordering in business and commerce, especially on account of this lockdown, mean that we must develop a comprehensive economic and social response.
Osinbajo also said that, The fund would help them, and also support the Social Investment Programme of the government.
