Ethiopian Woman Took Exam 30 Minths After Delivery

A 21-year-old Ethiopian lady has taken one of her auxiliary school leaving tests 30 minutes subsequent to conceiving an offspring, she has told the BBC.

Almaz Derese, who is from Metu in western Ethiopia, had would have liked to sit the tests before her tyke arrived, yet the tests were deferred due to Ramadan.

She started giving birth on Monday in the blink of an eye before the main paper was because of begin.

"Since I was racing to sit for the test, my work wasn't troublesome in any way," Ms Almaz told BBC Afaan Oromoo.

She took her English, Amharic and maths tests in the Karl Metu emergency clinic, yet would like to step through the rest of the examinations at the test focus throughout the following two days.

The new mother said that considering while at the same time being pregnant was not an issue, and she would not like to hold up until one year from now to graduate.

Monday's tests went well, she included.

Her better half Tadese Tulu advised the BBC that he needed to influence the school to enable her to take the tests at the medical clinic.

Ms Almaz now needs to take a two-year course that will set up her for college.

Her child is said to progress admirably.
