There has been pressure among him and his antecedent, Adams Oshiomhole, current National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The senator has been blamed for being uncouth and running a small time appear in the state.

Obaseki, while repeating his responsibility to serve the general population, as of late said that the ideal opportunity for sharing open assets to "a couple of insatiable legislators" in the state was finished.

He had depicted the emergency in the state as diversion to keep him from satisfying his guarantees to the general population.

Obaseki was cited as saying: "Just God gives control. What is happening in Edo State is the workmanship of spoilers who need to disappoint the organization so we can flop in conveying the profits of majority rule government to the general population. Yet, that will never occur."

Demanding that he would not bow to strain to share the general population's cash to "a couple of covetous people," the senator included "we will keep on doing our best in paying our specialists and beneficiaries and will keep on building up the state as the ideal opportunity for sharing cash is finished.

"The assets of the state are intended for the general population of the state."
