Heavy traffic as tanker falls across East-West road in Delta

There is heavy traffic obstruction along the Agbarho-Railway Flyover axis of the East-West Road, in Delta state, after an accident involving an empty petroleum truck. It was told the incident occured as about 10pm on monday.

The head of the moving truck reportedly pulled off from the tanker and flew across the median to the other lane of the expressway. Though no was lost in the accident, but the truct driver was said to have sustained injury.

The occuptants of the area was so happy, that the accident caused no death or injuries.

"Thank God the tanker was empty, if not the fire here could have been horrible," a resident simply identified as Okiemute, stated.

This incident is causing serious traffic obstruction along the East-West Road, preventing motorists from accessing nearby Ughelli town and the Warri metropolis.

Efforts of the reporter to reach the scene was unsucceful because of the traffic jam. Security operatives are said to be at the scene to control the traffic.
