The Supreme Court on Friday put aside the intrigue recorded against Governor Fayemi of Ekiti State by the Peoples Democratic Party and its gubernatorial hopeful in Ekiti state, Kolapo Olusola-Eleka.

The five-man board of the Supreme Court driven by Justice Tanko Mohammed, the Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, while maintaining Fayemi's triumph at the July 2018 survey collectively held that the suit testing the result of the survey needed legitimacy.

The Independent National Electoral Commission had announced Fayemi and the All Progressives Congress surveyed a sum of 197,459 votes to vanquished Olusola-Eleka and the PDP who put second with 178,121 votes in the July 14, 2018 race.

Not happy with the result of the decision Eleka had taken his case to both Ekiti state race request council and Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal and both court expelled the appeal testing the result of the July 2018 survey.

However,Eleka's fantasy of being the legislative head of Ekiti State has been broken with the declaration of the Supreme Court which has the conclusive decision.
