We Are To Decide Today Whether To Give Okorocha Other Certificate Of Return -INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it will meet today, with respect to decisions and requests issued or served on it from different Courts of Law on issuance of Certificates of Return.

Mr Festus Okoye, INEC National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, unveiled this in a meeting with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.

Okoye expressed this while responding to enquiry on the commission's choice on a court request, guiding it to issue Certificates of Return to a congressperson and five House of Representatives individuals under the stage of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Bauchi State.

He said the commission was yet to take any choice viewing the judgment as its national chiefs overseeing state level survey on the 2019 general races just came back to Abuja.

"The commission will meet tomorrow (Tuesday) with respect to decisions and requests served on it from different official courtrooms. The Commission has not taken any choice identifying with the issue you suggested. The commission may manage every single such issue and other pending ones tomorrow.

"National chiefs overseeing State Level Review of the 2019 Elections came back to Abuja on Monday to clear all pending decisions and requests before going to their conditions of supervision," Okoye said.

A FCT High Court on May 16 had arranged INEC to issue authentications of come back to one congressperson and five House of Representatives individuals chose under the stage the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi State, who came next in the influenced races.
