The Governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello, has reacted to the bloody robbery incident that took place in Isanlu on Thursday.
The robbers were said to have attacked First bank and also a police station in the area, causing the deaths of citizens and security operatives.
In his reaction, Mr Bello in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Onogwu Mohammed in Lokoja, the state capital asked security personnel to get the ugly incident perpetrators.
Our open arms is no invitation to criminals. Our first responsibility as a government is to ensure the security lives and property in the state. The bank robbery was a recurrency decimal in Kogi state before the new administartion.
Together with all security agencies in the state, we ended the regime of this form of crime since 2017, we will not allow this to change the gains we have recorded in protecting lives and property of our people, he said.
He therfore, sympathize with the family who lost the lives of their beloved one in this unfornate incident.
